In 1979 graduated from MGIMO, Faculty of Economics. diploma in economics. In 1979-1980 studied at the UN translation courses at the Maurice Thorez Moscow State Pedagogical Institute, specializing in simultaneous translation. In 1980 began his work in international organizations. In 1980-1984 was staff simultaneous interpreter at the UN Office in Geneva. In 1984-1990 was staff interpreter in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the USSR. In 1990-2009 worked as a simultaneous translator of the UN Office in Vienna. Since 2009 has worked as a trainer at SCIT, Herzen University
