Katharina Walter has been working as a Lecturer in English, Translation and Cultural Studies at the University of Innsbruck, Austria, since 2012. She holds a Ph.D. in English (2010) and an M.A. in Women’s Studies (2006) from the University of Galway, Ireland, as well as a concurrent M.A. in English and Spanish (2002) from the University of Innsbruck, Austria. Apart from doing academic teaching and research, she has also been working as a freelance translator since 2009. Her current teaching and research interests focus on intersections between creativity, translation and artificial intelligence. She has published on literary translation as well as contemporary Irish literature and culture.
