Professor of the Department of Linguistics and Translation Studies, Deputy Director of the Institute of Foreign Languages | Moscow City University

Linguist, researcher, translator and editor, specializing in intercultural communication, translation theory, practice of academic and scientific translation, research methodology. In 2018, she defended her doctoral dissertation “Cognitive-communicative concept of mnemonic function”. Professor Tivyaeva has extensive experience as a technical translator and editor in the field of information technology. Her current research interests include the development of academic translation issues. At Moscow City University, she oversees the work of the support service for faculty and researchers preparing international publications. In 2023, she co-guest edited a special issue of the Visual Anthropology academic journal published by Taylor & Francis. Professor Tivyaeva authored more than 100 academic works. She is also Deputy Chairman of the Dissertation Council 72.2.007.09 at the Moscow City University and a member of the “MCU Journal of Philology. Theory of Linguistics. Linguistic Education” Editorial Board.
