Graduated from Leningrad State University in 1979, specializing in Germanic Languages and Literature (English), her PhD thesis (candidate, 10.02.20 – Comparative-historical, typological linguistics and translation theory) Some Semantic Types of Nouns and their Determiners ves’ / tsely and all / whole was defended in 1987 in Institute of Linguistics (Institut Yazykoznanija ) of Russian Academy of Sciences; Doctoral thesis  Relevant Types of Impersonal Syntactic Constructions and their Semantics (10.02.19 -Theory of Language, 10.02.01 – Russian Language)  was defended in 2000 in Institute of Linguistics (Institut Yazykoznanija) of Russian Academy of Sciences. She is Full Professor, Honorary Worker of Professional Education, Honored Worker of Higher Education, Chairs the Academic Council of Institute for Foreign Languages of Moscow City University (MCU).
